In a latest set of upcoming TVS Apache 200's spy shots shared by IwanBanaran it can be seen that a test mule of the Apache 200 was wearing Pirelli tyres. As per the publication behind the spy shots below, TVS might bring up to two or three variants of its upcoming Apache 200, and one of these might feature more premium Pirelli tyres, however it is unclear at this moment which spec of Pirelli tyre will be used on the Apache 200.

Furthermore, the publication also states that TVS is currently testing two variants of the Apache 200, one of them being a lower spec non ABS version while the other being an ABS equipped higher spec variant, which we believe should get the Pirelli rubber among the two, however TVS going for better tyres on both variants will be a better idea we reckon. Saying that, test mules of Apache 200 doing rounds wearing IRC Roadwinner tyres have also been spied.

Expected to launch around January 20th or at the 2016 AutoExpo, the Apache 200 from TVS is gunning for the Duke 200's place in the segment, though will definitely arrive with a lower price tag that should make it better suited to go against the upcoming Pulsar 200NS FI. Also, with a rather huge fan following that the TVS Apache enjoys, it makes it imperative for TVS to bring a newer breed of Apache's that can take back the crown Apache's have lost to the newer breed of motorcycles in the segment.

The Apache 200 is expected to feature a single cyclinder 200cc motor which will be air cooled with an auxiliary oil cooler attached to help dissipate the excess heat from the engine. This should make the Apache 200 good enough to produce a power output in the region of 25ps of maximum power and a peak torque rating of around 20Nm and is expected to use a 6-speed transmission to go with it.

The bike when launched should be priced around the INR 1 lakh ex-showroom mark and will present itself as the next level of competitive machinery from the Hosur based brand to take on the rapidly growing premium motorcycle segment!
