Ssangyong has dropped a teaser image of the Tivoli XLV, which will be added to the Tivoli range. The Tivoli XLV will be a multi-role compact SUV with increased load carrying capability. The Ssangyong Tivoli XLV will make its World Premiere at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March. The car was showcased as the XLV Air concept at the IAA motor show in Frankfurt last year. Following the positive feedback, the company decided to make it a production real model.
The Tivoli XLV shares the similar platform of Tivoli with the wheelbase of 2600 mm. The XLV gets an extended exterior from behind the C pillar with an increase of 235 mm over the standard car. The boot space now gets an expanded load capacity of 720 litres. Meanwhile, the styling cues that distinguish Tivoli are retained, including its harmoniously fused SUV body design, sports coupé look and floating roofline.
Under the hood, the UK-spec XLV will be powered by a Euro 6 compliant 1.6-litre petrol and diesel motor, with an option of a 6-speed manual transmission, or a 6-speed Aisin automatic. The top-ranging variant is expected to get a All-four Wheel Drive (AWD) system.
