Our simple question is -How beautiful a car can look? And if beauty has some benchmark, Ford GT will sit at the top of the chart. Revealed a few months ago at the Detroit Motorshow, the Ford GT took the breath away from every single automotive enthusiast out in the word. While the earlier revealed GT was in Blue, Ford has just showcased a Silver finished GT at the ongoing Chicago Motorshow.
Set to go into production late next year, the Ford GT can't just be called stunning as it might be an understatement for it. The newly introduced silver GT at the Chicago Auto Show has a carbon fiber monocoque and carbon fiber body panels. The GT will employ 20-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 tires and curved windshield with an active rear spoiler.
As for the power, the engine is a mid-mounted, twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine that is capable of producing more than 600 bhp. The power will be sent to the wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which promises to deliver "near-instantaneous gear changes." While not much of the specifics has revealed, but GT will have "outstanding acceleration" and "one of the best power-to-weight ratios of any production car."
Joe Hinrichs, Executive Vice President, Ford has reportedly confirmed the model will be built in Canada by Markham and will cost more than the previous GT due to its carbon fiber construction.
