Suzuki is preparing to launch its much-awaited Burgman Street 125 premium scooter in the Indian market in mid-April. The scooter was displayed at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo last month and garnered pretty good attention there. Now, Suzuki aims to roll it out in the domestic market targeting the urban young customers across the country. The scooter is expected to be priced at around Rs. 75,000 (On-road, Maharashtra).
The Suzuki Burgman Street is going to be the second maxi scooter of India after Kinetic Blaze. The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 bears the signature muscular design language as its siblings from the Burgman lineup. It features a large and powerful LED headlamp, integrated windshield, fully digital instrument cluster, stretched out footboard to ensure better comfort for the rider along with the wide and spacious seat.
At the back, this scooter gets a prominent grab rail, wraparound LED taillight. It also gets cleverly designed storage compartments. So far, the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 is expected to bring freshness to the Indian scooter market. Upon launch, it will compete with rivals like Honda Grazia and Aprilia SR 125.
The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 runs on 12-inch front alloy wheel and 10-inch rear alloy wheel, while for braking duty, it gets a single disc brake at front. Also, the Combination Braking System ensures the stopping power delivered equally to both wheels. Power comes from a 124.3 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC engine coupled with a CVT. It churns out 8.5 bhp of peak power at 7,000 rpm and 10.2 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 rpm. The scooter is capable of returning 35 kmpl of mileage and it can run at a top speed of 85 kmph.
