The GSX-R 150 (called Gixxer by aficionados) is surely going to be Suzuki India’s trump card. Shown just before the Auto Expo earlier this year, the Gixxer 150 had managed to excite buyers with its combination of aggressive styling and superb fit and finish. Although the company has not revealed any details on its motor as yet, the Indonesian website of Suzuki reveals it to have 13.9 BHP of power and 13.4 Nm of torque. It will come with a 5-speed gearbox, which will have optimum spaced ratios for urban commuting.
Fuel supply will remain carburetted and drive will reach the rear wheel via an open-chain transmission. The Gixxer 150 will be a naked bike, which will compete with the likes of Yamaha FZ-S and Honda CB Trigger in the Indian market, and could be priced around Rs. 70,000 ex-showroom Delhi.
