Since Suzuki launched the Gixxer 150 in the country, the bike changed the cards for the Japanese auto maker. The sale figures for the company reached another heights and the bike went on to tear down each and everything that stood against it in the market. The bike was well praised for its aggressive looks and refined power mill that made the bike a brilliant over-all package for an average Indian buyer who do not want to compromise on style or performance. After the success of Gixxer the company introduced the faired version of the same, Gixxer SF that will also be seen in the FI version soon.
Kenji Hirozawa, Vice President, Suzuki Motorcycles India said, "We are looking at bringing in a more premium, India-specific motorcycle based on the Gixxer which will be between 150cc and 250cc."
In the mid-2015, one of the Japanese publications made the spy images of the Gixxer 250 viral over the Internet and there are solid chances that the company will be launching the same in the Indian market very soon. The bike as seen in the spy shots is aggressive and mean looking. It will be powered with a 250cc water-cooled engine churning out around 25-27bhp of maximum power. It will also have ABS as a standard safety feature in the package. When launched we expect it to hit the price tag of around 1.8 Lakh and will compete against bikes like Honda CBR 250R and KTM RC 200.
