Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited conducted the third round of the Suzuki Gixxer Cup in Chennai from August 7 to August 9. The Suzuki Gixxer Cup was held at the Madras Motor Track situated in the Chennai city. A large number of people were present at the race event to enjoy and cheer for the racers. Both Novice and Open Class categories of races were filled with talented racers that went head to head against each other to achieve the winning position.
Vivian Gladwin David clocked the best lap time of 2:10.686 on his Gixxer SF which is among the fastest times ever by any One Make Race manufacturer on this circuit. Vishwadev Muraleedharan and Amarnath Menon secured one win each in the Novice class category (for riders under the age of 23). While in the Open class category (for riders over the age of 23) Ananth Raj performed outstandingly by taking both wins and converting his 12 point deficit into an 11 point lead over his chief rival, Abhishek V. The next round (round 4th) of the Suzuki Gixxer Cup will take place on 4th to 6th of September at the same track.
