Suzuki Motorcycle is prepping up to launch its another offering for the Indian market - the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250. The Suzuki Gixer SF 250 has set the internet quite abuzz with a number of spy shots surfacing online and the Japanese motorcycle also shared a teaser of the same on its social media platforms. Now, the complete spec sheet of the Gixxer SF 250 has surfaced, leaking important detail of the motorcycle. The enthusiasts are already hooked onto this one and they are waiting to see the bike in flesh on May 20.
As the spec sheet suggests, the bike will be called Gixxer SF 250 and it will get the propulsion from a single-cylinder, 4-valve, oil-cooled 249 cc SOHC motor. The fuel-injected motor will make around 26.13 bhp of peak power at 9,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The power will be provided to the wheels by a 6-speed manual gearbox. The power output of Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is more than its direct rivals.
Earlier, the bike was expected to be launched in a naked streetfighter design but the company decided to launch the faired version of the motorcycle first and the former will be launched later this year. The Anchor department packs conventional telescopic forks at the front and monoshock at the rear. The bike sails on 17 inchers at both front and back shod with MRF's tubeless rubber and the braking power is enhanced by a dual-channel ABS unit equipped disc brakes at the front and rear. The ground clearance stands at 165 mm and this should be enough for the daily urban commute and the Gixxer SF 250 has a seat height of 800 mm.
The kerb weight of Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is 161 kg and the motorcycle has a 12-litre of fuel capacity. Suzuki is expected to price the Gixxer SF 250 competitively and if this happens, the bike will be up against the likes of Yamaha Fazer 25, Honda CBR250R and Bajaj Pulsar RS200.
