Suzuki iK-2 concept (Maruti YRA premium hatchback) and Suzuki iM-4 concept have been leaked online ahead of their much anticipated global debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The first image of both the aforesaid cars have been posted at @SuzukiCars Instagram handle, which claim the images to be official. Suzuki had teased both the cars already, and they will be unveiled tomorrow, i.e. March 3, 2015.
As for iK-2 concept, the company says that it is “an ideal compact car” with “Harmonised Force” as its central theme and it “raises compact car values to the limit”. Going by the image we have, the iK-2 looks production-ready, while flaunting a U-shape grille and bumper with conventional foglamps. It is being codenamed as 'Maruti YRA' in India and would be placed above it to challenge the Hyundai Elite i20 and Volkswagen Polo. It would be 90 kgs. lighter than the Swift hatch and would in-house a new 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine, along with a diesel engine. Suzuki iK-2 aka Maruti YRA would be out in the second half of 2015, as it has already been spied several times in the country as test mule, albeit camouflaged.
Talking about the Suzuki iM-4 concept, it too looks quite production-ready as the iK-2 concept. It is a mini SUV which would offer good ground clearance, high seating position, and 4WD. As for exterior, it has sharply cut daylight opening, puffed-up wheel arches and diagonal vents on the C-Pillar. According to company, Suzuki iM-4 concept is “an iconic mini 4X4″ which has a concept theme of “Shape of Inspiration”, while equipped with “4X4 DNA” and new technologies to give “real inspiration to drivers”. It might be the YBA compact SUV, which was spied testing in the country, totally undisguised. It might arrive be launched in India next year to pose a threat against the Ford EcoSport & Tata Nexon.
