Yesterday’s launch of Suzuki Gixxer SF is a slight indication of how Suzuki is coming back to the game. Suzuki Motorcycle India Executive Vice President Atul Gupta stated “the company will now concentrate on launching premium bikes of 150cc and above to attract the youth market. Suzuki believes that this strategy would help it chase over 30 per cent rise in sales at 5 lakh units in the current fiscal” in an interview with ET Auto.

Some more bikes above 800cc will be added to the grid to accompany the brand’s Hayabusa and GSX-R.Mr Gupta speaking on Suzuki’s sales network has shared that they’re looking to expand the network with a target of 1,500 touch points by March 2016, 700 more than the current figure. However the new plans will not affect the current mass segment motorcycles.
