Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) has launched the new 155cc Intruder cruiser motorcycle at a sticker price of Rs. 98,340 (Ex. Showroom, New Delhi) in the country. The new Suzuki Intruder is available in two colors: Metallic Oort/Metallic Matt Black No 2, and Glass Sparkle Black/Metallic Matt Titanium Silver. The 155cc cruiser comes along with several upmarket features such as standard ABS, fully digital instrumentation and SEP engine.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, SMIPL said, "The birth of INTRUDER in 1985 gave the world - a modern cruiser. Today, Suzuki is proud to bring the same INTRUDER lineage, revered worldwide for its unique styling anf performance to India. We are committed to offering our young customers new premium products that are high on quality and technology, yet retain the inherent sportiness and youthfulness of the brand Suzuki." Speaking of the styling, the Suzuki Intruder flaunts flowing character lines, big-bike like shrouds, and a distinctive twin exhaust. It gets a low and long styling with a long wheelbase and a low seat to make the commuting easy and comfortable.

Mr. Sajeev Rajasekharan, Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing, SMIPL said, "The cruiser market in India has been on the path of continuous growth for the last few years. As a modern cruiser, the new INTRUDER offers riders a blend of premium appeal and distinctive -style. With its futuristic features like ABS, the new INTRUDER fulfills your daily commuting needs, while its great road-handling capabilities make the weekend ride with your brotherhood of bikers enjoyable and exciting as well." Being powered by the Gixxer-sourced 155cc engine, it has maximum power of 14.8bhp at 8000rpm and peak torque of 14Nm at 6000rpm. The engine is linked to a 5-speed gearbox, while it misses out on fuel injection. Suzuki Intruder would directly take on the Bajaj Avenger.
