Suzuki Motorcycle India Ltd. (SMIL) has unveiled its two new products in Indian market. The new 110cc scooter, Let's and the 150cc motorcycle Gixxer at an event. The Let's is a 110 cc scooter with a maximum output of 8.7 hp @ 7500 rpm and a peak torque of 9.0Nm @ 5l500 rpm.The company claims a good fuel efficiency of 63 kmpl for the scooter.
With the launch of its new scooter, the company targets mainly the urban youth who wants comfort, style, fuel efficiency etc. The company has appointed the actor Parineeti Chopra as the brand ambassador for the new scooter.
The company has described it as ‘practical, light and fast’ while, its engine as ‘light, compact and fuel efficient’.
The Suzuki Let’s is available in 5 color options – Pearl Mira Red, Metallic Triton Blue, Pearl Mirage White, Glass Sparkle Black & Metallic Sonic Silver.
The Gixxer has got aggressive looks and contemporary design which appeals to the youth. The motorcycle has a 150cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke engine and will be available in five color options.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Mr. Atul Gupta, Executive Vice President, SMIL said “Suzuki is keen on providing products for the Indian customer at every price point. The new products will give a refreshing experience and will simultaneously be evocative of the Suzuki legacy of Value Packed Products. We expect both the Gixxer and Let’s to create a strong foothold for themselves in the market. Parineeti Chopra is the fresh, young vivacious face that connects with Indian youth and their quest for freedom and new expression.
Both the new products by Suzuki comes with company's own 'Suzuki Eco Performance' system which enhances their overall fuel economy. The company has not yet announced the prices of these models. Suzuki will announce the price of Let's at the upcoming Auto Expo 2014 and it will go on sale in March. While, the Gixxer prices will be announced in May and will go on sale in July.
