Suzuki Motorcycles India has managed to post a strong growth in September 2017. The company has registered a strong growth of 32.99 per cent during this month with the sales chart showing that 57,469 units were sold during this period.
The popularity of Suzuki in India driven by the sales of the Access 125 scooter along with the Gixxer and Gixxer SF sporty motorcycles. For the first time in the history, the company has managed to register over 50,000 unit sales figure in the domestic market with the domestic sales being 50,785 while the rest 6,684 units were exported.
The Suzuki Gixxer is one of the most popular sub-200 cc motorcycles in India presently as it has a powerful and refined engine. The 155 cc single cylinder engine which can produce a maximum power of 14 bhp along with a peak torque of 14 Nm. The faired version of the motorcycles, the Gixxer SF, has the same engine but makes a marginally higher power of 14.6 bhp. Both the versions are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox unit.
Suzuki Motorcycles is presently working on making a big expansion in the Indian market. The company opened 13 new dealerships in India last month taking the total number of dealerships in India to 467.
