Suzuki to return at MotoGP in the 2015 season

Snapshot: Suzuki has announced Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales as the riders for the 2015 season.

It was the 2011 season of the MotoGP when the Suzuki announced to stop their participation in the premium class world championship. But in the early 2014 they announced their return to the MotoGP circuit with the factory made bike in the 2015 season and now it is a confirmed thing as they unveiled their GSX-RR prototype at the Intermot show.

They will be making a wildcat entry at the 2014 season finale at Valencia, Spain before going full season in 2015. Suzuki has announced Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales as the riders for the 2015 season. Espargaro has recently won his first ever podium, racing on a  Forward Racing Yamaha. His team mate Vinale currently races in Moto2 series and won the Moto3 world championship in 2013. The team will be managed by the current test team manager, Davide Brivio.

GSX-RR is powered by a 1000cc Inline-Four engine producing a maximum power output of 227 HP.

Engine type: Water-cooled, four-stroke in-line four-cylinder, DOHC four-valve.

Maximum output: 230PS.
Frame type: Twin-spar aluminum.
Front suspension: Ohlins, inverted fork.
Rear suspension: Ohlins.
Brakes (front/rear): Carbon disk/steel disk, Brembo.

It will be interesting to see how the Japanese manufacturer will stand against the other Japanese manufacturers like Honda and Yamaha, who are doing very good at the MotoGP.
