As the mega motor show, Auto Expo 2018, is set to happen in the next few days, all the automobile companies are getting geared up to make some serious noise with their new upbringings. One of them is Suzuki, which is all prepared to unveil a new scooter and a CKD motorcycle at the event.
As of now, not much details of the new scooter are available, but it is expected that it could come with a 150 cc motor. Based on the fact that Suzuki already has the well established 110 cc and 125 cc scooters in their line-up, a 150 cc scooter will surely fit well into the company’s portfolio. Expectations are that the new scooter would be completely different from what we have seen so far in terms of design and features. After the launch at the mega event, the new scooter will go up on sale competing against the existing 150 cc scooters from Vespa and Aprilia.
Along with the new scooter, the company will also be launching a new bike at the biggest ‘Motor Mela’ in India. According to the sources, this CKD (completely knocked down) motorcycle could be the first sub-1,000 cc product from the manufacturer in the domestic market. It could be either the GSX S750 naked sports bike or the V-Strom 650 adventure bike.
The GSX S750 is equipped with a 749cc inline-four-cylinder motor that pushes out a power of 114 bhp, while the V-Strom 650 gets a 645 cc V-twin engine that develops a maximum power of 71 bhp. As far as the pricing is concerned, the V-Storm would be priced slightly more than the existing rival Kawasaki Versys 650, while the GSX-S750 would be somewhat same as that of the Kawasaki Z900.
