Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. is all geared up to launch the new Suzuki V-Strom 1000 in the India by September this year. The motorcycle provides the option of two variants for the international market namely - standard V-Strom 1000 and V-Strom 1000 XT. However, we are expecting only the V-Strom 1000 XT to be launched for the Indian market.
The new model is the modified version of the previously introduced Suzuki V-Strom with improved styling and some added features. However, it has the same power mechanism as of its predecessor. The V-Strom 1000 XT, to be launched in India soon, comes with spoked wheels and handlebars with a larger diameter. The tyres have been redesigned for the 19-inch front wheel and the 17-inch rear wheel. Both the tyres are dual-sport tubeless. It is also available with optional body language accessories with single-key function.
As the engine is same as of its predecessor, the upcoming Suzuki V-Strom 1000 is powered by a 1,037 cc, liquid-cooled, v-twin engine which is capable of producing a maximum power output of 98 bhp and a peak torque of 103 Nm. The maximum torque kicks off even at a low 4,000 revolution per minute. The engine is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox.
The most significant update to its predecessor is the electronic suite which gives five-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) called the Motion Track Braking System, which keeps track of the lean angles to make braking safer and more effective working along with the standard anti-lock braking system. Adding to this it also gives leisure of a new combined braking system.
The new Suzuki V-Strom 1000 XT is undoubtedly going to be one of the riding sensation of the youth of India once it gets launched. Presently, the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 is priced at Rs. 13.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
