Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited (SMIL) reported a 13% growth for May 2014. This year, SMIL touched a figure of 32,117, where last year it sold 28,455 who-wheelers.
Suzuki has been keenly participating in the commuter segment in India with its offerings like Swish and Access. The newly launched Let's has propelled SMIL to soar further and the company plans to capture 15% of the scooter segment in India this year.
Commenting on the sales figures, Atul Gupta, SMIL Executive Vice President said that the company has received a good response from the market for all its products.
"The growing customer satisfaction has led to positive word-of-mouth in the market. Building on the existing goodwill in the market, we expect that the four products launched at the Auto Expo - Gixxer, Let's, V Strom and Inazuma will also show good performance in the upcoming fiscal," he added.
