The Tata 45X has been conceptualized and developed by Tata Motors European Technical Centre PLC (TMETC) and based on the new Advanced Modular Platform. The Tata concept vehicle displayed at the Expo measured 4,252mm in length, 1,850mm in width and 1,451mm in height with a 2,630mm long wheelbase which points that it is larger in dimension than the other hatchbacks in its segment. Interestingly, to benefit from tax cuts, the production model will be in a sub-4-meter segment, whereas the 45X concept measured 4,253mm in length.

Mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and AMT, Tata 45X will house the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol and 1.5-litre Revotorq diesel engines, which also powers the Tata Nexon compact SUV.

The interior is a premium cabin made with high-grade material. It boasts of a floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in top models. For safety, the 45X gets dual front airbags, seat belt alert, ABS, EBD, reverse parking sensors and speed alert system.

Following the Tata Harrier, Tata 45X will also boast of the IMPACT 2.0 design. The new Tata hatchback will feature sleek lighting, sloping roof, a steep belt line, conventional door handles instead of the flush door handle on front doors while at the rear there are pillar mounted door handles giving a sporty look.
