Tata Motors has dropped a teaser with a clue which has left car enthusiasts wondering, as the date nears for the official reveal of the full-spec Tata premium hatchback. Inspiration has been drawn from a sea bird and the name of the upcoming Tata car consists of six letters starting from the alphabet ‘A’. And which brings us to a hint that the Tata 45X’s name could be officially proclaimed as the Aquila, which happens to be an eagle in the Italian language.

Considering the fact that Tata is used to christening its vehicles inspired from birds, the probability of naming the new Tata hatchback as Tata Aquila is highly anticipated. Prior to this, the Tata Tigor compact sedan was codenamed as the Kite 5 and its much-awaited micro-SUV is presently codenamed as the Hornbill. The new Tata Harrier’s name was also borrowed from a bird. And which is why counting all these clues from the past, we can viably conclude to a point that the new Tata 45X premium hatchback could be named the Tata Aquila.
In terms of competitive pricing, once the full-spec production unit is launched in India, the Tata Aquila could undercut its competitors such as the Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz and Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
