  • The Tata Harrier All-Black Edition will sport a glossy black paint job.

  • It will receive blacked out 17-inch alloys.

  • Inside the cabin, it will get black leather upholstery.

Tata Motors will bring an all-black version of its popular mid-size SUV, Harrier in the country sometime next month. The all-black Tata Harrier was recently showcased at the company’s annual general meeting. Sporting a glossy-black paint job and black finished 17-inch alloy wheels, this upcoming edition will feature an all-black interior. Also, the skid plates at the front and the matte-silver bits at the rear will be painted in black. The chrome trim on the window line will be retained.

The black finishing will be seen inside the cabin as well with Black leather cover seats replacing the brown upholstery offered with the standard model. Also, the faux-wood insert on the dashboard will be given a miss for the new textured matte-grey panel.

Save for these changes, the all-black Tata Harrier version will carry over the rest of the elements from the regular model. This edition is expected to be retailed along-side other paint schemes available in the line-up including Telesto grey, Thermisto Gold, Calisto Copper, Ariel Silver and Orcus White. In addition to the above-mentioned colours, the SUV recently received a new XZ Dual Tone option, which is being retailed at Rs 16.76 lakh (ex-showroom price).

As for the Tata Harrier black edition, it could either be priced slightly higher or lower than the XZ Dual Tone option. For that, we have to wait until it comes out sometime next month. Aside from the all-black Harrier, the company is also working on a BS6 compliant version, an automatic version and the seven-seat model which are likely to be launched in the coming months. Launched earlier this year, the Tata Harrier competes with Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV500 and MG Hector in the segment.
