  • It will get a BS6 compliant engine.

After launching Tata Nexon EV very recently, the homegrown manufacturer is now all set to bring the new version of Harrier with a number of interesting features and updates at the coming Auto Expo 2020. A few days back, the Harrier was teased with an automatic transmission and now, the interiors of the said model are finally out in the latest spy images.

In the pictures, the Tata Harrier Automatic can be seen with a similar dual-tone interior sporting black and brown shades. However, the SUV will come with a lighter colour for the upholstery and a glossy brown/black panel on the dashboard. The matte wooden treatment has been given a miss and the gearshift lever distinguishes itself with a tri-arrow pattern design at the top.

Likely to be offered on the range-topping XZ+ trim, the Harrier Automatic will come with double-spoke alloy wheels. These are the same design wheels that will come on the soon to be launched Tata Gravitas. While the Gravitas might sport 18-inch rims, the ones on the Harrier automatic look 17-inch in size. The Tata Harrier Automatic is not just limited to new alloy wheels and an automatic transmission. The new model will get a dual-tone exterior paint scheme along with and a panoramic sunroof.

Needless to mention, the new Harrier will get a BS6 compliant engine as well. The upgraded engine on the Harrier automatic will deliver a maximum power output of 140 hp while the peak torque is rated at 350 Nm. The said automatic gearbox will be a 6-speed unit sourced from Hyundai. The new Harrier will reportedly also get a more powerful 2.0L diesel engine churning out 170 hp/350 Nm, the same unit that will power the Gravitas
