Tata Motors had launched the much-awaited Harrier SUV in January 2019. The SUV is available in four variants - XE, XM, XT and XZ - priced between Rs 12.69 lakh and Rs 16.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The top-spec Harrier is equipped with several features like chrome enhancement, leather seats, 17-inch alloy wheels and 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. However, these features are missing in the lower-spec models. Now, the company has introduced the online configurator that is live on the Tata Harrier's micro-website.
Called 'Imaginator', the configurator will alloy user to pick any of the four variants of the Tata Harrier SUV and get the feel of what they will be buying. Customers can visualize the trim they want to buy, choose colours and select customisation options and accessories along with exterior and interior design and features from all angles. This imaginator could work as an influencer and will help customers to make the right choices.
Customers can use the online configurator to select the trim of their choice and can opt for colour, customisation options and various accessories they want in their car. The Harrier's base model is available with only one colour options and lacks various features such as alloys, touchscreen and others. Priced at Rs 13.75 lakh, the Harrier's XM variant gets multiple drive modes, multi-functional steering wheel, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment and others. Similarly the higher-end variants of the Harrier come with several new features that are not available in lower-spec variants.
Tata Harrier is based on the new OMEGA platform, which is derived from Land Rover's D8 architecture that underpins the Discovery SUV. The Harrier also debuted the brand's new IMPACT 2.0 DESIGN philosophy. The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre KRYOTEC diesel engine, which is sourced from FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobile). This engine is capable of producing 138bhp of maximum power output and 350Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.
