A new set of images has emerged online that features an undisguised Tata Hexa during a Brochure photo shoot. The images are making the rounds online just ahead of its launch by the homegrown automajor, Tata Motors in the next few weeks. The car has been spied several times in a video and other spy images too, but with this fresh set, we get it clear that the company is gearing up itself for the nearing launch of the model.
Going by the images, it seems that this variant is the top of the line, equipped with full set of accessories that will be made available during the launch. Dimensionally, the Tata Hexa is 4,764 mm in overall length sitting on a wheelbase of 2,850 mm, 1,895 mm in width and stands 1,780 mm tall. With its premium exterior styling, it will feature an all-black plastic cladding, projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, chrome embellishments, side steps, dual exhaust tailpipes, TUFF embossed rear bumper and diamond-cut alloy wheels.
The interior of the Hexa features an all-black cabin layout with piano black, decent use of chrome accents, Harman touchscreen infotainment system, mood lighting, an optional captain seat configuration, leather upholstery with twin-needle stitching, ESP (electronic stability program) and 6 airbags. Just to add to your knowledge, the Hexa will be the first car in the Tata’s car line to feature terrain mode selector, same as the Jaguar Land Rover's ‘Terrain Response’ system.
Coming to the engine spec, the Hexa will be packed with Tata’s 2.2-litre VARICOR turbodiesel oil burner that is capable to dish out 156.2 hp along with 400 Nm of peak torque. The transmission options can be selected out of a 6-speed manual that comes as standard, whereas a 6-speed automatic will be offered in a XM and XT trims. An AWD system has been used a wild card by the brand best suited for its top of the line variant.
