Tata motors upcoming flagship SUV, the Hexa has started reaching to the Tata dealerships across India. Seems the company is gearing up for the launch which is expected in November. Recently Hexa’s top end variant was spotted testing without any camouflage.
A few users have spotted the top-of-the-line Navy blue colored XT variant of the Hexa in a Tata Motors workshop. This variant of SUV rides on large 18-inch five-twin spoke alloy wheels which look great on the vehicle.
The Tata Hexa would be powered by a 2.2 liter four cylinder VARICOR diesel engine, which has a maximum power of 154 bhp at 4,000 rpm and maximum torque of 400 nm at 1,700 to 2,700 rpm. The customers may have the choice to decide between a 6 speed manual or a 6 speed auto transmission. The Hexa would also features various driving modes such as Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough road which helps to tackle various conditions better.
The Hexa is essentially the reworked version of the Tata Aria which failed in the market miserably. Tata has designed the Hexa with the help of designers from Tata’s own subsidiary Land Rover. The new crossover SUV comes with newly designed Honeycomb grille with chrome lines which has been named as Humanity line, and it is Tata’s new design language and it might be used in upcoming Tata cars. The SUV is also equipped with swept back projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, spoiler and roof rails. The body cladding enhances the look of the SUV even further and gives it a muscular look. The upcoming Tata Hexa is a quite long and wide vehicle with 4,764mm of length, 1,895mm of width and 1,780mm of height.
On the equipment front, the Hexa is expected to be nicely equipped with 5.0-inch touch screen display which acts as infotainment display and sat nav device, reverse parking camera, sensors, mood lighting, LED illumination, ICE by Harman Kardon, dual tone interiors and leather wrapped large and supportive captain seats.
The price of hexa is expected to be start around 12.5 lakhs and it would compete against Toyota Fortuner, Innova Crysta, Mahindra XUV etc. Now it has to be seen that how this much-hyped SUV fairs against its proven competition.
