Tata Motors is all equipped to launch its latest "lifestyle" vehicle, the Hexa MPV in the Indian market. The same will be the flag bearer car for the homegrown automaker in our nation and will go up against any challenge from the Toyota Innova Crysta. Initially the MPV was supposed to be fueled by the same 2.2-litre VARICOR 400 engine producing 156Bhp while the transmission duties were be dealt with by a 6-speed manual gearbox and 6-speed programmed unit too. Presently as per the latest reports, the Hexa is to accompany two engines and three transmission choices instead of one engine and two transmission options.
The 2.2-litre VARICOR engine which is accessible in the 400 variant, pumps out 156Bhp and 400Nm of maximum torque, the same engine that comes in the 320 variant, can pump out 150Bhp and 320Nm of maximum torque. Transmission options will be three, comprising of 6-speed manual and 5-speed manual gearboxes for the XM and XT trims, while a 6-speed automatic gearbox has been provided for the XE trim.
Comes to the looks and interiors of the Tata Hexa, which being a premium vehicle, comes stacked with a wide range of luxuries elements. A couple of highlights of which are projector headlamps with LED DRLs, automatic climate control, cruise control and touchscreen multimedia system. The pricing of the Tata Hexa has not yet been unveiled by the automaker but we are anticipating that it will begin from INR 12 lakh and go all the way up to INR 19 lakh (ex-showroom).
