Tata Motors launches Indigo and Indica emax CNG versions

Snapshot: The home-grown automajor Tata Motors has now launched two new CNG models- Tata Indigo emax and Indica emax in six markets across India- Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Tripura. The company earlier launched the Nano emax CNG in the country.

The home-grown automajor Tata Motors has now launched two new CNG models- Tata Indigo emax and Indica emax in six markets across India- Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Tripura. The company earlier launched the Nano emax CNG in the country.

Tata Indica emax CNG

The new emax range is powered by a fuel efficient engine, with CNG and petrol bi-fuel options. Both the Indigo and Indica emax have as low carbon footprint as 0.251 g/km and 0.338 g/km respectively. While the Indica emax returns an impressive 23.7km/kg of mileage, the Indigo emax is even better with 24.6 km/kg of fuel efficiency.

Tata Motors showcased its entire emax range at the Horizonext event in June 2013, of which Nano emax was already launched a couple of months back. The Indigo emax is priced in the range of Rs 4.99 lakhs- Rs 5.27 lakhs, while the Indica emax will cost between Rs 3.99 lakh and 4.26 lakh (prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
