Indian auto major has reported a 26.93 per cent dip in total sales in the month of July 2014 at 1,49,597 units. The company had clocked total sales of 2,04,744 units in the year ago period.
In the domestic market alone, the company’s total sales including, passenger and commercial vehicles stood at 39,623 units, which translates to a 23.13 per cent decline, when compared to 51,549 units sold in July 2013.
The passenger vehicles sales alone, registered a 15.30 per cent decline at 9,167 units, as compared to 10,824 units sold in the corresponding month last year. Commercial vehicles contributed to the sales numbers with 26,089 units as against 36,448 units sold in July 2013, which is down by 28.42 per cent.
In terms of exports, the Indian automaker saw a growth of 2 per cent with total sales of 4,367 units as compared to 4,277 units shipped out of the country in July 2013.
