Tata Motors sold a total of 12,640 units in the passenger car segment last month. The total stood at 51,184 units including light and heavy commercial vehicles segments in the same period. Out of total passenger car sales last month, Tata sold 9761 units of its sedan and hatchback range (Including Nano, Indica, Indica Vista, Indigo eCS and Indigo Manza) while the remaining 2879 numbers include its utility range (Safari Storme, Sumo, Sumo Grande and Venture).

Tata's sales have been going down since a long time in the country but the company is working aggressively to gain some market-share. The introduction of 'Horizonext' Strategy has aided the company to rejuvenate its existing lineup, while the upcoming Bolt and Zest are expected to garner some appreciable sales numbers for Tata Motors. The company has also revealed its next-generation 'Revotron' petrol engine, which might help them to explore the petrol car market where Tata has not been very successful in the past.
