Tata Motors will showcase five new public transport vehicles at the Bus World India 2018. The five new models on display will be the Starbus Ultra AC 22-Seater Push back, Starbus 12-Seater AC Maxi cab, WINGER 12-Seater, Tata 1515 MCV Staff Bus and MAGNA intercity coach. For those asking, Bus World India 2018 is the biggest B2B bus and coach exhibition in the world. All of the aforementioned vehicles, as per the company, are equipped with "state-of-the-art technology and advanced safety features" with "excellent fuel economy and a longer service life".
Speaking of Magna, it is India’s First Bus Body Complaint (BBC) luxury intercity bus. It will be available in two power nodes: 180bhp and soon to be launched 230bhp. The new age coach will have a seating capacity of 35-44 occupants and a generous boot space of 7.5 cubic meter. Being powered by the Cummins ISBe 5.9 engine, Magna Intercity bus would boast of Tata G750 gearbox, Voith Retarder and Marcopolo bus body. Coming to the Starbus Ultra AC 22-Seater Push back and Starbus 12-Seater AC Maxi cab, both are built by Tata Marcopolo, while they offer best-in-class features such as individual charging points, hand rest on all seats, Push back luxury leather seats, power steering, air brakes and LED lighting as standard.
Tata Starbus Ultra AC 22-Seater Push Back will be powered by the new-generation Turbotronn Engine with top power of 140bhp and 7 Lakh kilometers first overhaul life. On the other hand, Tata Starbus 12-seater AC Maxi cab will draw power from a 4SP CR engine with GB-550 gearbox fitted with cable shift mechanism, radial tubeless tyres, parabolic suspension and tiltable steering. Moving to the Tata Winger 12-seater, it is designed and developed specifically for the Tour and Travel operators. It will be packed with the 2.2L DICOR engine, which used to power the Safari SUV. Last but not least, Tata MCV Staff Bus is based on the proven 1515 chassis while it gets the Cummins ISBe 5.9 engine under the hood with a G600 Gearbox and Tata Marcopolo body. It is equipped with features like 3-point seat belts, reverse camera with display, USB mobile charging points and GPS with Wi-Fi.
