The company has said that it will be launched in Q1 2020 in the Indian market in three grades: XM, XZ+, and XZ+ Luxury. Tata Nexon EV price could range between Rs 15-17 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom)
The Nexon EV takes styling cues from the upcoming facelifted version of the standard SUV. It flaunts twin-pod headlamps with LED daytime runnings lamps (DRLs), a restyled front grille and bumper with fog lamp units and blue colored inserts. The SUV comes finished in a dual-tone paint scheme while riding on 16-inch diamond-cut alloys.
Tata Nexon EV will be available in three exterior colors: Signature Teal Blue, Moonlit Silver, and Glacier White. The cabin will feature a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity, drive mode selector, sunroof, and a rearview camera.
Some of the other salient features will also include rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, remote commands, navigation, pre-loaded location of charging and service stations, etc. to name a few. Mechanically, it will make use of Tata's latest Ziptron EV technology while using a 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery. This battery delivers top power of 127bhp and peak torque of 245Nm to an electric motor which propels the SUV to do a 0-100kmph sprint in merely 9.9 seconds.
Tata Nexon EV has a driving range of 300 kilometers on a single charge while full charging takes around 8-9 hours, using an AC charger. It can also be charged from 0-80 percent in just one hour through a fast DC charger.
