2020 Tata Nexon Facelift to get a major styling update.
Will follow the ‘Impact Design 2.0’ design language.
It will be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020 in February.
The facelifted Nexon has been spotted testing, and from the video, it looks like it will get a major styling update for its facelift due next year.
The Tata Nexon Facelift will look a little more like the Harrier, it's a more upmarket sibling. Tata has put in the effort to redesign it and make it more in line with the ‘Impact Design 2.0’ design language. As such, it gets a more bluff nose and a higher bonnet.
The headlamps haven’t followed the current trend of being relocated to a spot on the front bumper (as with the Harrier), but are in the traditional place.
They look like they’re going to get narrower, though. The grille design for the intercooler at the bottom of the front bumper has a most interesting design. The rear gets updates as well, to match the front. However, the overall silhouette remains the same.
The alloy wheel design will be updated to reflect current trends, while the low-spec trims will get steel wheels with full wheel covers.
The Tata Nexon Facelift interior will be significantly updated as well, with a digital instrument cluster and updated steering wheel expected. The touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be retained, although the screen might get updated to a larger size.
Tata Nexon Facelift engine specs will include a1.2-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-liter turbo diesel will continue unchanged, with the option of either a six-speed manual or six-speed AMT gearbox for each available.
The facelifted Nexon and its all-electric variant, the Nexon EV, will be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020 in February next year. The Nexon EV is expected to retail at a price of Rs 15 lakh – Rs 17 lakh and will go on sale before April 2020.
