With the launch Tata Hexa nearing, Tata motors is gearing up itself on the Nexon crossover. The crossover has made its presence on the roads several times. In these spy images you will see two test mules, but on a closer look, the two cars seem to be different. Here in the spy shots the car is wrapped with heavy camouflage, but the number plates are quite noticeable with the letters M and D.
The two car sports projector headlamps, two tone Wing mirror, mesh grille nestled inside a twin pod setup and featuring chrome highlights two tone, a dark grey lining around the front grille and fog lamp housing on the front bumper. And just as seen at the 2016 Auto Expo, the car also gets a similar slopping roof line and gets a black coloured roof mounted spoiler. Inside, it is expected to come fitted with a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, push start/top button, keyless entry and reverse-parking camera. A Land Rover inspired Terrain Response knob likely to come with it that sets a variety of terrains.
Under the hood, the Nexon crossover will most likely feature a new engine from the Revotron family that is a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel and is expected to crank out a maximum power of 108 hp with 260 Nm of top torque. The engine will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox and an option of Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).
When launched in the Indian market, it will pounce on the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra TUV 300, Mahindra NuvoSport and Ford EcoSport. Tata Motors geared up for the pre-launch activities like media drives and the company will start taking booking for the Hexa from November 1.
