It’s just a few days before the all new Tata Nexon is launched in India. However, with the launch date this close, the brochure has been leaked giving the automobile followers a glimpse into the details of the subcompact crossover.
The Tata Nexon sub compact crossover will be offered in four petrol and diesel variants. It will be following the standard trim pattern of Tata Motors along with the introduction of a new XZ+ variant.
The top end XZ+ trim comes with a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a floating display. The interior layout comes with a three-tone colour scheme. There will also be a reverse camera and climate control. The infotainment system will be attached to an 8-speaker system.
As for the safety features, the Tata Nexon will be coming with ABS and EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution) and up to six airbags on the top end trim.
On the mechanical side, the subcompact crossover will come in both petrol as well as diesel versions. The 1.2-litre petrol engine will be producing a maximum of 108 bhp along with a peak torque of 170 Nm. On the other hand, the bigger 1.5-litre diesel engine which produces the same 108 bhp of maximum power but a peak torque of 260 Nm. The transmission duties will be done by a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox. However, the company is not planning to introduce an AMT gearbox unit as of now.
Starting with the launch of the Tata Hexa in January, the company has been running through a very successful year. And very rightly so, Tata has been providing its cars with some of the most outstanding features in the segment at the lowest price possible. The Nexon crossover, once launched, will be competing with the Honda WR-V and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. It is, however, the most powerful car among its competitors.
