Tata on 39 percent decline whereas Toyota jumps 12.24 percent in Nov'13 sales

Snapshot: Tata Motors registered a decline of major 39 percent in Nov'13 sales, whereas Toyota India sales hiked by 12.24 percent.

Tata Motors recently released their sales figures for November, 2013. According to report, the home-grown auto major registered a decline of hefty 39 percent in total sales as compared to last year. Tata sold 40,863 units, which is actually the lowest sales number in past three years. On the other hand, sales figures of commercial vehicles in the domestic market were 26,816 units, Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) sales were 19,993 units and Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicle sales stood at 6,823 units.

Although the Indian Auto market is going through a bad phase, Bangaluru based Totota Kirloskar Motors sales numbers grew up by decent 12.24 percent. The company sold 10,208 units in the domestic market and exported 2,540 units of Etios series in the month.

Commenting on the same, Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, Marketing and Commercial said, “The market continues to be sluggish and market sentiments are not expected to improve in the coming months”
