Tata Motors have officially announced its association with Bollywood via the Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor starrer, ‘Singham Returns.’ The upcoming flick directed by Rohit Shetty will feature a range of cars from Tata Motors including, the Safari Storme, Sumo, Aria, Sumo Grande, Xenon and the Nano.

It is worth noting that Director Rohit Shetty usually opts for Mahindra Scorpio SUVs in large numbers in most of his movies. For the upcoming sequel to ‘Singham’ however, he has gone ahead with the fleet of cars from Tata Motors.

Commenting on the association, Delna Avari, head go marketing, communications and services, Tata Motors said, “The movie and its lead characters, Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor exude energy and charisma; precisely the qualities represented by our cars at Tata Motors. Hence, the ideal integration of our cars and Singham Returns.”

Director Rohit Shetty remarked, “Ajay is playing Bajirao Singham again, and his macho image is enhanced by the Tata Safari Storme, his vehicle in the film. Other Tata Motors vehicles have also been used in the film.”

In India, Bollywood holds a cult stays and an association of this nature is often desired by many automakers. Tata Motors had also recently secured a partnership with the mini-series ’24’, while the Tata Zest and the Bolt were recently featured at the IIFA 2014.

Produced by Ajay Devgn Films, Rohit Shetty Productions and Reliance Entertainment, ‘Singham Returns’ is slated to hit the theatres worldwide on August 15, 2014.
