Tata Motors launched the Tiago hatchback last year and with its positive response from the buyers the brand planned to introduce the model with automated manual transmission. Tata Tiago is launched at Rs 5.39 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi) and Rs 5.73 lakh, (Ex-showroom, Mumbai). The AMT version of the hatchback is available in XZA variant and will be on sale across the country in over 597 Tata Motors sales outlets.

The TIAGO has been instrumental in the growth of Tata Motors’ brand across the PV market. In line with our commitment of launching products that cater to the need of the ever-evolving customer, we are happy to launch the TIAGO AMT today. We are confident that it will further expand the market for us.”
Exterior wise, the car dons the same design aesthetics as the standard version, measuring an overall length of 3,746 mm, 1,647mm in width, 1,535mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,400 mm and a ground clearance of 170 mm. The will take on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Chevrolet Beat, Honda Brio and the recently launched Hyundai Grand i10.
Under the hood, the Tiago AMT comes packed with a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol unit, which is good make 84 bhp of peak power output and 114 Nm of torque, mated to AMT gearbox that comes with an in-built ‘creep’ feature, which enables the vehicle to crawl as soon as the pressure is eased off the brake pedal, without pressing the accelerator. It also prevents the car from rolling back when it is on an inclined position.
Tata Motors is also planning to launch the Tata TIGOR sedan in March.
