Tata Motors has an impressive vehicle launch lined up this month, leading to the Auto Expo in February.
The Expo will witness the unveiling of the facelifted versions of the Tata Tigor, Tiago, and the Nexon.
Tata Motors Automotive Facebook page reveals the updated brochures of these vehicles.
The year 2020 is starting on an auspicious note for Tata Motors with the impending launch of the Tata Altroz on January 22, 2020. Other cars lined up for launch later on this year include the Tata Gravitas SUV, the Nexon Electric, the mini SUV, H2X, and the facelifted variants of the Tiago, Nexon, and the Tigor.
Tata Motor Automotive Facebook page reveals the details of all these brochures. These brochures display information about the planned unveiling of the facelifted versions of the Nexon, Tiago, and the Tigor at the 2020 Auto Expo.
Tata Nexon Facelift – Gets the best upgrades
Based on the information available on these brochures, the 2020 Tata Nexon gets a massive facelift. It bases its design on the Tata Motors Impact 2.0 design, the same that is visible in the Tata Altroz and the Harrier. The 2020 Tata Nexon exteriors sport slimmer headlights and exquisite grille design. It makes room to include a large air dam and significant bumpers. The tailgate and the tail-lights get cosmetic updates, as well.
The 2020 Tata Nexon interiors come with the same touchscreen info system as envisaged for the Tiago and the Tigor. Other exciting upgrades include cruise control features and a new colour combination for the interiors. The seats get new upholstery to match the interiors. The vehicle comes with fantastic colours options that not only look attractive but pleasing to the eye, as well.
The 2020 Tata Nexon engine will be the same as is available on the existing variant but will comply with BS6 emission norms. The engine options are as follows.
1.2L 3-cylinder turbo-petrol unit that delivers a power of 108bhp and torque of 170Nm.
1.5L 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine capable of producing a peak power of 108bhp and 260Nm torque.
These engines pair with either an automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual gearbox system. The compliance with BS6 norms entails a price hike, the details of which are not immediately available.
Tata Tiago Facelift – Excellent colour options
Six colour options for the Tata Tiago are on the anvil with the possibility of the vehicle getting a dual-tone colour option, as well. The 2020 Tata Tiago exteriors will feature a new grille and bumper along with a refurbished headlamp design.
The Tata Tiago interiors will not witness many changes with Tata Motors opting to provide the same dashboard, seat upholstery and the colour accents on the AC vents.
Tata Tigor Facelift – A twin version of the Tiago
Though the 2020 Tata Tigor facelift exteriors match those of the Tiago facelift, distinguishing features like vertical turn indicators on the new headlamps and the honeycomb grill make it look different from the existing variant. One can also expect the facelift version to feature a new bumper with fog lamp enclosures and a larger air dam. This feature makes the new design align with that of Tata Motors’ IMPACT 2.0 design, available on the Harrier and the Altroz.
Both the Tigor and Tiago facelifted versions will now sport the same 7-inch touchscreen info system, a recent interior update that they received a couple of months back. There could be a couple of minor cosmetic changes depending on the customers’ preferences and feedback. The 2020 Tigor facelift will also be available with exciting options.
The engines on the twin variants
Both the Tata Tiago and Tigor facelift models will now sport BS6-compliant engines. Tata Motors plans to discontinue the 1.05L diesel engine because of the high costs involved in the upgrading of the same to comply with BS6 norms. However, the 1.2L petrol engines will receive the updates. It could result in a change in the power and torque outputs. This engine mates with either a 5-speed AMT or a 5-speed manual transmission system. As state above, the pricing of the vehicle can increase because of the BS6 updates.
These three facelifted versions will be unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo in February 2020. We will enlighten you with the latest revisions when available.
