Tata Motors launched the Tiago NRG crosshatch at a sticker price of Rs 5.50  lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 6.32 lakh for the diesel version (ex showroom, Delhi). The Tiago NRG will compete with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki CelerioX and also with Ford’s Freestyle and Mahindra’s KUV100 NXT as well. NRG version will be offered in three exterior colour options - Canyon Orange, Fuji White, and Malabar Silver.

In terms of exterior, the Tiago NRG version gets a black body kit, two-tone front bumpers, integrated silver scuff plates, side skirts and cladding on wheel arches and tailgate, and the grille, roof, mirrors, and B-pillar are blacked out. Nonetheless, the new version also gets a raised ground clearance of 180mm compared to regular Tiago’s 170mm. The car also gets projector headlamps with black inserts same that Tata offers on the range-topping Tigor. Dimensionally, it’s slightly bigger - 47mm longer, 18mm wider and 52mm tall.

You also get a new 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, black interior with orange highlights, some silver accents on the central console, AC vents, and gear knob and the 8-speaker Harman sound system.

Under the bonnet, Tata Tiago NRG crosshatch draw its power from the same 1.2-litre  petrol engine that makes 84bhp with 114Nm and the 1.05-litre diesel that develops 69bhp with 140Nm of peak torque. For the transmission duties, both the engines come coupled to a 5-speed manual. It also gets some mechanical tweaks as well - the motors are tuned for better driveability and there is now 180mm of ground clearance.
