Tata Tigor came with a very unconventional, attractive and stylish look. However, the car couldn’t fetch the desired sales result in a highly competitive segment. Now, the homegrown automaker is readying a special edition model, which will be christened as Tigor Buzz. The special edition model has been spied ahead of its nearing launch. It will come distinctive compared to the standard model.
As the spyshot reveals, the Tata Tigor Buzz is based on the mid-spec XM trim of the sedan. It gets some distinctive cosmetic updates changes like black ORVM casing, contrast roof, red trim on grille and wheel covers. Not only exterior, inside the cabin it gets red accents around the AC vents and refreshed seat covers. While these minor changes make the special edition more appealing, the car will come retaining the same silhouette and features as the standard model.
Mechanically, the Tata Tigor Buzz will come same as the standard Tigor. Expect it to be available in both petrol and diesel engine options. In that case, the compact sedan will come with a 1.2-litre petrol engine and there will be a 1.05-litre diesel motor as well. Transmission duty will be done by a 5-speed manual gearbox.
With the slowing sales of the compact sedan Tata Motors is hopeful that the special edition will boost the retail figure for the car. The standard XM variant of the Tata Tigor is priced at Rs 5.82 lakh and Rs 6.80 lakh (On-road, New Delhi), for the petrol and diesel variant respectively. Expect the Tata Tigor Buzz to be the priced slightly higher than the regular model.
