Tata Motors has launched the Tigor Electric with an extended range for private buyers with a starting price of Rs 9.44 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. The aforementioned price is after deducting all the Government subsidies. Till now, Tata Tigor EV was only for sale for Government and fleet consumers.
It is introduced in three variants – XE+, XM+, and XT+ - for both fleet and personal segment customers. Tata Tigor EV boasts of an extended range of 213 km, which is certified by ARAI. It will be available in 30 cities initially while qualifying for a FAME II incentive for eligible commercial customers. The sedan will come with two driving modes – Drive and Sport.
Cosmetic updates will include Signature EV decals, premium front grille, and Shark-fin antenna & LED high mounted stop lamp. The Tigor EV will ride on stylish alloy wheels while available in three paint schemes: Pearlescent White, Egyptian Blue and Roman Silver.
The interior cabin is finished in dual-tone Classic black & grey theme while it gets Harman sound system, Height adjustable driver's seat and fabric seats as standard. Being powered by a 21.5kWh battery pack, the Tigor EV comes with two charging ports for fast charging as well as slow AC charging.
The battery cooling system is especially designed to ensure consistent performance even in extreme temperature conditions. The driver's side airbag will be a part of the base XE+ variant while the mid-XM+ and top XT+ will have dual front airbags and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as standard safety features.
The all-electric sedan comes with an inbuilt warranty of 3 years or 1.25 Lakh km, whichever is earlier.
