- The larger 7-inch infotainment system will support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- The 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine will be retained.
- Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP prices are expected to undergo a slight bump.
Tata Motors will give a mild feature update to its performance twins, Tata Tiago JTP and Tata Tigor JTP. Built under Tata-Jayem Automotives partnership, both the models were launched last year in the country. Nine months after their introduction, Tata will give them an update, which is expected to come out by id-August.
Among the new additions, a larger 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system supported by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is in the pipeline. The power adjusting wing mirrors will get an additional power-folding function, while the Tiago JTP will also get the automatic climate control akin to its sedan sibling. In fact, the JTP twins will soon receive all the equipment offered with top-spec variants in the standard Tigor and Tiago.
Save for the above changes, JTP twins will remain as is. There will be no change in Tata Tiago and Tigor JTP specifications, as it will continue to derive power from the 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 114hp against 150Nm. Also, expect a slight increase in price due to the addition of the above features.
