Tata Tigor Gets Two New AMT Variants; Price Starts at Rs 6.39 Lakhs

Snapshot: Both the Tata Tigor XMA and XZA+ come loaded with several premium features while powered by the same 1.2L turbocharged Revotron petrol engine as standard.

Tata Motors has launched two new AMT variants for the Tigor sedan in form of XMA and XZA+ at starting prices of Rs 6.39 Lakhs and Rs 7.24 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi), respectively. Both the new variants are introduced in petrol fuel trim and will be offered in all the existing paint schemes - Egyptian Blue, Roman Silver, Espresso Brown, Berry Red, Pearlescent White and Titanium Grey. Tata Tigor lock horns with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent, Ford Aspire and Volkswagen Ameo in the Indian market.

Both the Tigor XMA and XZA+ will come loaded with several features like drive mode selector, Harman audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, reverse parking sensors, foldable rear armrest with cupholders, 24 storage spaces etc. to name a few as standard. As for the safety, the duo will feature dual front airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Corner Stability Control (CSC) speed dependent automatic door locking and engine immobilizer. The AMT gearbox also brings the anti-stall and crawl functions which come handy during thick traffic. Being originally launched in March 2017 in the country, Tata Tigor has a boot capacity of 419 litres and a fully automatic temperature control (FATC) system.


Out of the two variants launched, Tata Tigor XZA+ is the automatic offering on the top manual trim - XZ+. It is equipped with several premium bells and whistles in form of 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, auto-fold ORVMs with integrated LEDs, dual chamber projector headlamps with chrome finish, break-free coupe-like roofline and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay as standard. Commenting on the expansion of the Tigor range, Mr. S N Barman, Vice President, Sales, Marketing & Customer Support, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit (PVBU), Tata Motors, said that in a constant effort to maintain the growth momentum, Tata Motors continuously introduce advanced technologies in its products, fill white spaces and offer exciting product interventions to meet the growing aspirations of its customers.
