Tata Motors has launched the Zest, its entry sedan in India at a very competitive price which starts at Rs 4.64 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 5.64 lakh for the diesel making this the most affordable entry sedan in the country. The top-end versions of the petrol and diesel cost Rs 5.99 lakh and Rs 6.99 lakh(all, ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.
The car is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine with unique first-in-segment ‘Multi-Drive Mode’ technology that enables the driver to switch between sport, eco and city mode for improved fuel efficiency or improved performance or a mix of both. The 1.3-litre diesel gets a segment first Automated-Manual Transmission(AMT), and will be available only on the top-end version of the car.
The company today also launched an industry first service offering with the 333 Confidence programme. This unique programme offers best-in-class warranty of 3 years or 1 lakhs Kms (whichever is earlier), an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) of 3 years/ 45000 kms (whichever is earlier) and a free 24X7 Roadside Assistance service for 3 years. With this, Tata Motors is offering its customers high reliability, reduced cost of ownership and great resale value for the Zest.
There are four variants to choose from in the petrol, while the diesel gets five, which includes one variant for the automatic. The car is available at 470 Tata dealerships across India from today.
