Tesla CEO Elon Musk to appear on ‘The Simpsons’

Snapshot: The Tesla boss will feature in one of the upcoming episodes titled, ‘The Musk Who Fell to Earth’.

The hugely popular animated TV series, ‘The Simpsons’ is moving into its 26th season this year. And one of the special cameo’s planned for the new season is that of Tesla Motors’ CEO Elon Musk who would have a guest spot on the show. The development was confirmed by the animated series producer, Al Jean at the Comic-Con that got underway in San Diego on July 26. 

In his cameo in one of the upcoming episodes on ‘The Simpsons’, the 43 year old Musk battles Montgomery Burns - the wealthy operator of a nuclear plant. The episode has been titled, ‘The Musk Who Fell to Earth’ and has Mr Burns somehow losing all of his money to the Tesla bossman.  

South African-born Elon Musk is also the chairman of SolarCity Corp., the largest US solar power provider. He previously played himself in the 2010 film Iron Man 2 and was also, an executive procure of the 2005 comedy ‘Thank You for Smoking.’ 

The long-running animated series by 21st Century Fox which first started airing in 1989 has previously also featured billionaires such as Rupert Murdoch, Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg.
