Tesla Cybertruck, four days after its global debut, has registered over 2 Lakh bookings. The electric pick-up received mixed reactions from for its polarising design from auto aficionados.

Elon Musk, Tesla Boss, in a tweet on November 23, revealed that over 146k orders have been received for the Cybertruck so far and 42 percent of people have chosen the dual variant, followed by 41 percent for tri and 17 percent for a single motor. Musk didn't forget to add that all the orders were sans any advertising or paid promotions.

Musk, again wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter on November 25, that the bookings have touched the '200k' milestone. The only resemblance that Tesla Cybertruck pays to its other rival trucks is only the length, which stands at 5870mm.

The styling is just never-seen-before and too unconventional as compared to others and Musk has hinted that most of the elements will make their way into the production version. With the overwhelming pre-bookings, Tesla Cybertruck has reminded everyone of the Model 3 when back in April 2016, it had crossed over 2.76 Lakh bookings in just three days of unveiling.

Tesla Cybertruck will be offered with three powertrain options: single, dual and tri. The single motor version with rear-wheel-drive will do the 0-100kmph sprint in merely 6.5 seconds while having a driving range of 402 km. It will have a payload capacity of 1360 kgs alongside a towing range of 3400 kgs.

It is priced at $39,900, which around Rs 28.65 Lakhs. The dual-motor variant, coming with an all-wheel-drive variant, will touch the 100kmph mark from standstill in just 4.5 seconds with a towing capacity of 4500 kgs. The price will start at $49,900 (Around Rs 35.83 Lakhs).

Last but not the least, the flagship tri-motor variant will be equipped with Tesla's ‘Plaid’ EV powertrain with a claimed driving range of 804 km after being fully charged.

The towing capacity stands at 6350 kgs while the 0-100kmph time is just 2.9 seconds which means that the distance of quarter-mile could be covered in under 10 seconds. The price tag for this has been fixed at $69,900 (Around Rs 50.20 Lakhs).
