Elon Musk, overwhelmed with joy, tweeted that future of electric cars is bright and he is fairly confident of delivering the first car in 2017. For those asking, Tesla has an infamous history of not meeting the deadlines for its models and hence, the company needs to be extra careful with Model 3. Coming loaded with Tesla's Autopilot hardware, the Model 3 can accelerate to 97kmph from standstill in mere 6 seconds. Tesla Motors would also enter the Indian market with the Model 3 in 2018 and would install a supercharger network across the nation, so that buyers can conveniently charge their cars.
