The Japanese motorcycle maker, Kawasaki, has recently launched the 2016 ZX-10R in India and the bike has been priced at Rs 16.4 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). The new ZX-10R has been updated with a host of changes from aerodynamics to new the electronic package. According to the earlier reports, the new ZX-10R has been made by taking inputs from Kawasaki’s World SuperBike Team and has been said to be the closest ZX-10R ever made to a track superbike.
The inputs from the WSBK team has resulted in making the bike faster, sharper and a better handler. The 998cc inline-four engine has been carried on from the earlier model with slight changes that has resulted in quicker throttle response of the bike and more aggressive power deliver throughout the rev range. Talking about the aerodynamics updates, the front has been changed is now slightly curvier as compared to the previous design and also the rear has shredded some weight that has resulted in a better mass centralising of the motorcycle and hence better balance and control.
It comes equipped with engine braking assistance, quick shifter, cornering ABS, upgraded traction control and launch control. That said, it also get the latest Bosch’s five-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) sensor.
