The new X-Spirit III racing helmet was recently unveiled by Shoei during a press conference in Aragon, Spain. The race debut of the new lid is expected to be done by the World champion Marc Marquez at the Spanish circuit during the weekend’s MotoGP race. Both Marquez and British racer Bradley has been involved in testing the X-Spirit III but none of them has used the lid in-between races. The new lid is an example of extraordinary engineering, wings on both the sides of the helmet boosts stability at very high speeds.
The X-Spirit III is an example of aerodynamical brilliance, riders also get an option to choose narrower wings which costs more, on circuits where lots of corners mean their head is turned to the side more often. It will be on-sale in UK from early 2016 and will cost around £549.99 (plain colours). Apart from this, there will be three graphic designs and race replicas expected to be unveiled soon (there are no pictures yet) and they will cost £649.99 in the UK.
