The new Yamaha FZ drops the jaws a little more; will come equipped with a fuel injector

Too much has been speculated about the new Yamaha FZ since Auto Expo where it was showcased for the first time to the aficionados. But Yamaha, as we all know, loves to surprise people and is very very good at it. According to the latest reports, the new development is something most of us in the automotive world weren't quite expecting. The version 2.0 of FZ will be fuel injected and will offer improved performance and better fuel efficiency than its predecessor.
Almost a month ago, we had done a story where we expected the new FZ to have a displacement of 170-190 cc delivering somewhere around 17-20 bhp.
Yamaha has started training its service staff on the new FZ which, in a nutshell, says that the launch is pretty close. To make the smile on your face bigger, the new Yamaha FZ will get a slimmer body, 120 mm rear tyre, a curvaceous fuel tank, a digital meter, a two-piece seat and a new tail light.
And to make the wait more difficult, all this should be under your belt under Rs 1 lakh.
