This March, Activa defeated Splendor with a margin of 14,000 in the sales figures. But, it does not mean by any chance that Splendor has started to seem boring to its followers. Hero MotoCorp is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that Splendor never fails to lure people.

Hero has launched the updated Super Splendor with a price tag of Rs 53,375 (Ex-showroom Mumbai). The new Super Splendor has its power coming from an engine that is single cylinder, four stroke, air cooled, 124.7 cc and generates 9.1 bhp of peak power and a maximum torque of 10.35 Nm. The gearbox is a usual four speed that along with a tubular frame, telescopic front shocks and five step adjustable shock absorbers at the rear makes the new Super Splendor a comfortable ride.

Unlike its predecessor, there is no option of having a disc brake at the front. It seems that the majority of the buyers didn't want to spend extra for the disc brake and the people at the top didn't find it to be a good enough proposition.

The graphics are new, alloys black and the range of colour scheme is all new. To match the competition and stay ahead, one cool addition has been made to the new Super Splendor, and that is the side stand warning indicator.
